As a teenager, essay writing is not your favorite thing to do. To be honest, it’s probably the last thing on your list. You want to spend time with your friends, to watch movies or just to take rest. The huge amount of assignments that you receive every day are almost impossible to finish, and most of the time you don’t even start them. Well, if you want to be successful in the future you have to learn how to manage your time in good way. Check out these 5 tips to help you start studying:
Clear your schedule. If you want to be serious about this, you have to make sure that no one will influence you. It will be tricky to focus on your assignment if your friends are calling you every five minutes, and your family keeps disturbing you. Before you start working on your project or essay, let everyone know that you will be busy today. Tell your friends that you will not hang out with them and that you have important assignments to take care of. They will understand and they will give you some time to concentrate on your study.
Keep away anything that can distract you. Try to study with your computer open, and you will check your social media profile every five minutes. If the TV is open, there is a big chance to leave everything aside and watch that interesting movie. To be efficient in your work, turn off any electronics that could take your mind away from study. If you must keep your computer open to search for information, don’t open any other website. You will have plenty of time to do this after you are done with your essay.
Reward yourself. You will be more excited to finish your study if you know that something fun is waiting for you. Make a deal with yourself: if you complete this essay today, you can go and see a movie with your friends tomorrow. If you are honest and you don’ break the deal, you will get used with your assignments and you will see them as something positive, not as something boring.
Collaborate with a classmate. It does not matter if you have good friends in your classroom or not. Any of them can be a good study buddy if you know how to handle the situation. Make sure that the colleague you collaborate with has good marks, so he can help you increase yours. Also, you will encourage each other to study more than usual, and you can spend time together once you finished the work. Who knows, maybe after this you will even become good friends!
